In what is believed to create a new ‘ad’world order, Omnicom Group is now set on taking over Interpublic Group in a stock-for-stock transaction, expected to close by the second half of 2025. With the new combined entity trading under Omnicom’s name- OMC on NYSE, it is expected that UK’s WPP and France’s Publicis Groupe will face strong competition as the new Omnicom’s revenue generation is projected to be more than $20 billion, as against the WPP’s $15 billion and Publicis Groupe’s $13 billion (based on 2023 figures).

The announcement was made at Marketing Mind's Millennial Achievers 2024 which took place in Mumbai on November 29.

Shifting gears to the broadcast sector, ZEE Network has launched its ‘Dilfluencers’ campaign, highlighting how its beloved TV characters are more than social media stars- they're daily companions to millions. In a conversation with Marketing Mind, Ashish Sehgal and Kartik Mahadev discussed how the campaign uses emotional appeal, hyperlocal digital communities, and cross-platform storytelling to build authentic brand partnerships, drive consumer trust, and create culturally resonant narratives aligned with brand values.
